ABOUT EVA MAITLAND
As a Scientific Software Engineer at UK Research and Innovation, I am passionate about building and maintaining software that enables thousands of scientists per year to improve data collection from experiments on the ISIS Neutron and Muon source. I work with a variety of technologies and tools, such as Kubernetes, Python, Typescript, and Nodejs, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the physical hardware devices and the graphical user interfaces on the Neutron and Muon beamlines.I completed my Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science at Western Governors University, where I have acquired analytical, programming, and problem-solving skills. I have completed several courses and certifications in topics such as software testing, security, and vulnerabilities. In addition, I have experience in teaching and designing games using platforms such as Roblox, Minecraft, and Scratch, which have enhanced my communication, creativity, and collaboration skills. My goal is to continue learning and applying my knowledge and skills to create innovative and impactful software solutions for scientific and social challenges.
