Chicostart is the center and driver of the startup and small business ecosystem for 20+ counties in the North State. We exist to remove the barriers for startups and small businesses to thrive. We have created an ecosystem that networks the resources, support and technical assistance to help business. As central liaison for this regional ecosystem, we connect them to industry, funding, agency, inclusive and accessible education, makerspaces, grants, mentoring, events and more. We host a startup incubator, coworking space and drive industry-to-industry partnerships for economic development. We help you START, GROW AND THRIVE!

I believe entrepreneurship is more than starting a business—it’s about creating access, building relationships, and helping others realize what’s possible. Whether supporting student entrepreneurs or advising startups across the North State, I aim to connect people with the tools, confidence, and partnerships they need to thrive. In the Northern California ecosystem, I serve as- Executive Director of ChicoStart, a startup incubator supporting early-stage innovation- Host of GrowTECH Fest, a regional conference that connects entrepreneurs, investors, and tech leaders to strengthen our local economy. At Chico State, I lead programs that turn ideas into action- Experiential entrepreneurship courses- Student venture competitions- Mentorship-driven support for early-stage founders- Faculty advisor to student orgs: CEO Club, Venture Capital Club, and Investor Club- Curator of executive speaker series, hands-on workshops, and founder-focused eventsLet’s build opportunity-rich environments where students, founders, and community members can grow, lead, and make an impact.
