About Eva Cullen
I am a junior at Columbia studying Applied Mathematics and Astrophysics with a minor in Mathematical Probability. I work on numerical modeling and large-scale data analysis, with current research in seismic wave propagation at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory and past work on radiative-hydrodynamic simulations of massive stellar binaries at the Bartol Research Institute. My coursework and projects extend into Bayesian inference for stellar structure, spectral element methods for biofluid dynamics, and exoplanet transit detection. I\'m driven by using computational methods to resolve open questions across geophysics and astrophysics.
