ABOUT EUNICE WONG
Hi! I’m an urban designer, researcher, registered planner, studio instructor, artist, and all-around curious person. As lead researcher at Monumental, I get to champion human- and equity-centered approaches, advocate for diverse perspectives, and highlight the power of community voices in the city-building process. Participatory processes and co-creation are huge (and fun!) parts of my work. I’ve gotten to work on a ton of collaborative yet challenging projects involving policy, community engagement, land use planning, public realm/public space/park design, transportation, built form, and several research efforts around gender equity, public health, and as host of the Perkins & Will Inhabit podcast. My community-centered approach to this work has been awarded a National Urban Design Award for Community Initiatives, an AIA Canada Award of Merit, a Canadian Society of Landscape Architects Award of Excellence, and an OPPI PlanON Public Education award.
