ABOUT EUNG-JIN JEON

I am an experienced geotechnical engineer with expertise in geotechnical engineering, dam safety surveillance and inspection, foundation engineering, geotechnical earthquake engineering, ground improvement, and pavement engineering. I have been dealing with a range of projects, including:(1) project management and geotechnical engineering services for dams and levees, new and existing buildings, including high-rise buildings, hospitals, mid-rise buildings, commercial development, residential development, temporary structures, transportation infrastructure, and the oil and gas industry;(2) soil-structure interaction analysis, dynamic numerical simulation using FLAC2D and FLAC3D, site-specific ground motion and time history studies, and site response analysis;(3) characterization of subsurface conditions and geotechnical engineering analysis to evaluate settlement, bearing and lateral capacity of shallow and deep foundations, lateral earth pressures, seismic hazards (including lateral spreading and liquefaction), static and seismic slope stability, ground improvements to mitigate liquefaction hazard and excessive settlement, and seepage analysis;(4) pavement design and recommendations for pavement rehabilitation strategies and design guidelines;(5) preparation of proposals and reports, including foundation reports, geotechnical design reports, material reports, geotechnical data reports, ground motion and time history reports, and seismic hazard evaluation reports; and(6) review geotechnical reports, shoring plans, structural plans, and construction documents and provide geotechnical recommendations during construction.
