From websites to warships. At Humanproof, we are going beyond just the design of system interfaces and the consideration of things like font size, contrast, text labels, and system feedback. We are looking at how to design complex information management systems and implement them across entire agencies with careful consideration of existing and future business processes, examining the corporate culture where the product will be used, and assessing change readiness and change fatigue to maximize user adoption and user acceptance. For our military and homeland security clients such as the US Navy and Coast Guard, we provide complete Human Systems Integration Program Plans and develop a top-down program to fully integrate the users of their systems. This includes all Human Engineering activities, test plans, prototypes and mock-ups, simulations, and reports. We carefully assess each sailor task and make sure the equipment, systems, and manning all support the desired mission profiles. To accomplish this range of support, we use a wide variety of tools and specialties which include: Human Systems Integration, UX/UI, Interaction Design, User Experience, User Interaction, Strategic Planning, Human Factors Program Plans (HEPP), Requirements Definition, Usability Testing, Workload Analyses, Task Analyses, Heuristic Evaluations, Human-Computer Interface Design, Usability Testing, Human Systems Integration Plans (HSIP/HSIPP), and Human Performance Studies. Coordinated with United States Coast Guard (USCG) Human Systems Integration Division (CG-1B3), program sponsors, and sponsor’s representatives to develop and execute Interagency Operations Centers (IOC) Watchkeeper Usability Analysis Operational Test Event. Developed project plan, test plan, test procedures, user surveys and post-test questionnaires. Performed detailed system task and function analyses by reviewing system training materials, job aids, and instructional manuals in conjunction with Subject Matter Expert (SME) interviews. Developed detailed test procedures to be executed during usability testing using Morae usability testing software and operationally realistic scenarios. Performed cognitive walkthroughs and facilitated verbal think-aloud protocols during test events. Provided equipment set up, moderated test with users from multiple federal, state, and local agencies. Performed post-test analysis and prepared detailed test report. Prepared and delivered test out-brief complete with video clips of each significant finding and design recommendations for suggested usability improvements. Developed, refined, and updated the FAA NextGen Human Systems Integration Strategic plan to reflect emerging changes associated with the NextGen program. Defined program objectives, major focus areas, program goals and the major activities needed to achieve stated goals.
