A downhole tool technology development leader with extensive completion engineering and intervention experience. Initially responsible for the creation, development and commercialisation of RFID activated downhole tools I’ve led many industry defining teams, projects and technologies. I have experience of platform, deep water, subsea and onshore completions. I now head up completions technology development in Saudi Aramco’s Aberdeen office. Here I specialise in the development of Fibre optic monitoring systems, AICD’s, sand control, production enhancement, well integrity, flow control, barrier valves and wireless communication technologies. Aside from that, I’m also an On-Call Crew Commander with Scottish Fire and Rescue.
