Pursuing research on query understanding and neural ranking at the intersection of large language models (LLMs) and information retrieval (IR). Focusing on optimizing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems by investigating the trade-off between retriever corpus and generator complexity, and query understating via sematic decomposition and augmentation. Two additional papers on Search + LLM are in progress and are expected to be submitted in Fall 2025.
