ABOUT ETHAN WILSON
I am currently a medical student at the University of Glasgow, with ambitions to build a career as an Academic GP. An advocate for the rights and equality of transgender people, I continue to actively campaign, and work on projects, to promote this - with a particular interest and focus in areas of transgender inclusive healthcare. Previously, I graduated with a BSc (Hons) Applied Biomedical Science degree, completing my IBMS Registration Training Portfolio in a biochemistry laboratory. I have a keen interest in the multidisciplinary nature of healthcare science and medicine, and how the work of both areas can be improved to better include and support the transgender community. I openly share my own lived experience as a transgender man, a mature and disabled student, and of mental health issues. I both write, and speak, on topics relating to men’s mental health. I am available to speak, or run workshops, at events that align with medicine, wider healthcare, LGBTQ+ communities, student life, and/or mental health.
