   As a mechanical engineering intern, I designed solutions to support the packaging of aerospace-grade electronic components, taking into account thermal dissipation, structural integrity, and modal/vibration behavior. Some of my key job functions included the following: • Performed vibration analysis on cables for high-vibration aerospace environments using modal hammer & accelerometers; processed data with Python and QuickDAQ to substantiate ANSYS simulations.• Designed, simulated, manufactured, and validated a variable-flow air restrictor in SolidWorks Flow Simulation, meeting MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 environmental test requirements for aerospace avionics.• Participated in exhaustive design reviews emphasizing thermal, structural, and vibration analysis. • Manufactured electrically insulating shoulder washers using CAM and CNC to meet testing deadlines and bypass a 4-week supply chain delay.• Collaborated with PCB designers to assemble, validate, and improve electronic component packaging designs.• Conducted micro-ohm contact resistivity research for high-voltage electromechanical components to reduce high-altitude electronic heat dissipation.• Optimized additive manufacturing (FDM) workflows for aerospace-grade ULTEM, enabling high-strength, in-house prototyping and reducing outsourcing costs by 90%.• Collaborated cross-functionally with MEs, EEs, and PMs to convert proprietary SolidWorks models into client-safe envelope drawings.
