ABOUT ETHAN SUE

For companies looking for a software engineer who can fit into their team seamlessly and overcome any obstacle, I am a Software Engineer who uniquely blends communication, adaptability, creativity, and determination with hands on SQL, C#/C++, and Python experience and an uncanny understanding of the software development cycle.Last summer, I interned with South Korean news article startup, Seoulz.com, to automate their publishing processes. I had a steep learning curve and had to use all my soft skills to succeed. I was the only programmer on their team and worked directly with the co-founders in a completely unfamiliar culture, challenging me to be adaptable. I answered by persevering and building a scalable order management system. I utilized all aspects of the software development life cycle such as conducting independent research, critical analysis to ask the right questions, and implementing, then testing my findings to achieve the best results. Overall, I learned to manage expectations, deliver results under pressure, and adapt my solution to best fit my team’s needs.I am comfortable using object-oriented principles, search algorithms, and various programming languages to solve real world problems. My experience in C#, C++, Python, and SQL demonstrates my adaptability and quick learning skills. I have used this knowledge to develop a database and web application for a grocery delivery system. More recently, I am collaborating on a cross platform desktop application aimed at increasing leetcode problem completion rates among students to boost their chances of landing a job. We are using Python, Javascript, Django, and Google Cloud Run for continuous code delivery.
