About Ethan Simon

Currently, I serve as Chief of Staff to Delegate Pamela Queen in the Maryland General Assembly, where I support legislative strategy, constituent services, and policy development. I’ve also worked at the intersection of youth advocacy and transportation policy as the chair of the government affairs committee for the SEPTA Youth Advisory Council, co-leading efforts to track and promote legislation supporting equitable transit. My internships with SEPTA, the National Council of Jewish Women, the Maryland General Assembly, and Jewish Family and Children\'s Service gave me hands-on experience with legislative advocacy, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement across diverse issue areas, including reproductive rights, disability equity, and transportation access.I recently graduated from the University of Maryland’s School of Public Policy (Class of 2025), where I earned a 3.973 GPA and was honored to serve as the school’s undergraduate commencement speaker. My time at Maryland was defined by a commitment to public service and student impact, I served as a Public Policy Ambassador, a member of the Dean’s Student Advisory Council, and a campus tour guide, where I helped welcome more than 800 prospective students and families. These experiences have taught me that meaningful change happens when policy connects with people, no matter how big the impact, and I am committed to being a changemaker for the long run.
