   I am excited to share my role as a Tissue Recovery Specialist at HonorBridge, a position that allows me to contribute to the vital mission of saving and healing lives through organ and tissue donation.In this role, I perform surgical recovery of donated human tissues, ensuring that the process meets the highest quality and safety standards. I utilize specialized surgical instruments and adhere strictly to OSHA and other regulatory guidelines to ensure the tissues are recovered aseptically and packaged correctly for transportation. My responsibilities also include aiding the Operating Room Lead with accurate and timely documentation of all recovery cases and aiding the Donor Coordinator where needed with effective communication with hospitals, funeral homes, and other partners to facilitate a seamless donation process.I assist in training new staff and maintaining an organized, efficient supply inventory. I ensure that our lab space is clean, safe, and well-stocked, reporting low inventory levels as needed. Moreover, I participate in continuous education and process improvement initiatives to enhance our tissue recovery practices and outcomes.
