In my 12-week internship, I am working for the OFAC compliance and investigations team, as well as other divisions within the BSA/AML department in Columbus, OH. OFAC sanctions combat terrorism, drug trafficking, weapons of mass destruction, organized crime and rogue nations. I am gaining experience using programs such as PurpleTRAC, World Check, amongst others. I will also be gaining a well rounded understanding of all areas of the banking industry.

ABOUT ETHAN R. DEVELVIS
I am Ethan R. DeVelvis, I’m a fourth year student at The Ohio State University. I am currently enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences in the International Studies program, specializing in Security & Intelligence, as well as double minoring in Russian language and Public Policy. I have taken course work in subjects such as counterterrorism, intelligence, homeland security, economics, public policy and psychology. I will continue to take courses related to these fields. I have experience in background investigations and court/public records research from my internship at Boerger Investigative Services, and am interested in AML and sanctions compliance, as well as other financial crimes. I am currently working at Huntington National Bank in Summer 2023 as an OFAC Intern, working in sanctions compliance and AML investigations. I am currently looking for jobs in the investigations and intelligence field upon my graduation in December 2023.
