Use a variety of methods involving test equipment, visual checks and instruments, diagnose and identifyproblem areas and determine the extent of repairs required.• Remove components and assemblies, repair or replace defective parts and components andreassemble repaired items into the aircraft.• Conduct ground functional tests of all aircraft systems.• Inspect for conditions such as oil, fuel, and hydraulic leak, cut lines, tires and loose panels.• Conduct checks on hydraulic, electrical, transmission, power systems, etc.• Perform inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on assigned aircraft.• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform unscheduled maintenance on assigned and transient aircraft.• Perform the full range of repair and testing of aircraft system, assemblies, and surfaces.• Install, align, and make needed adjustments to major components and assemblies such as engines,propeller/rotors, transmissions, hydraulic systems, etc, assisting Specialists as required.• Service aircraft with oil, de-icing fluid, fuel, and hydraulic fluid.• Launch and recover assigned and transient aircraft; perform inspections prior to takeoff.
