ABOUT ETHAN MOCNY
Currently studying at University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Research Lab under Dr. Eric Powell. I am Coastal Carolina University alumni with a Bachelor’s of Science in Marine Science with a minor in Environmental Science. My goal is to acquire the skillset and experience needed to become a coral reef ecologist. I have current experience in the field using LiDAR technology, ArcGIS online and Pro, and statistical analysis in R Studio and Excel. I completed a study abroad in Jamaica at the Discovery Bay Marine Laboratory where I conducted research looking at population density and size distribution of 5 coral species based on depth. I also have nitrox and rescue scuba certification. I am eager to continue along this path and open to any opportunities that I come across.
