I rotate between administrative and clinical responsibilities including patient intake, taking vitals, updating EMRs, preparing injections, assisting with in-office procedures, and supporting providers throughout their evaluations. This role is sharpening my understanding of musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain management, and perioperative care. Each day has deepened my comfort with clinical workflows and sharpened my communication with both patients and providers. I appreciate how small acts like managing expectations, clearly explaining procedures, or simply listening can significantly impact a patient’s experience. This experience has deepened my appreciation for the operational side of medicine, including how systems, insurance, and time affect patient care outcomes just as much as diagnoses.
