Waves For Water works on the front lines to provide access to clean water through the implementation of portable water filters, the construction and renovation of bore-hole wells, and the construction of rainwater harvesting and storage systems–in places where groundwater is not accessible. At the center of all these efforts is empowerment. Supported by our belief in developing and empowering local networks, we always implement our programs through the local teams of volunteers and community leaders, that we cultivate in the beginning stages of any project. This process enables us to connect with a community on a deeper level, by establishing trust and rapport, over time–which ultimately ensures the highest potential for a truly sustainable program. Waves For Water has implemented programs in 48 countries, with active programs in 23. They have responded to 33 disasters globally, implementing over 155 clean water programs globally - using water filtration systems bore-hole wells, and rainwater harvesting systems. Since 2009 Waves For Water has impacted over people.
