About Ethan Kusse

I’m a sophomore at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute dual majoring in Computer Science, and IT & Web Science. I’m driven by the idea that software can do more than just solve problems - it can make life smoother, smarter, and more connected.I\'m currently seeking a Software Engineer internship for the summer 2026-27 year, as I believe this will be a critical stepping stone to my goal of making the future feel a little more effortless.When I couldn\'t find a productivity tool that worked for me, I built Swiper Systems, a time management app focused on user convenience, using automation and AI logic to simplify daily planning. Taking it from concept to launch taught me how to build scalable systems, design products with a user-first mentality, and create tools that genuinely make people’s daily lives easier.Now, as I co-found a new project, I’m continuing to explore how intelligent systems can adapt to people instead of forcing people to adapt to them. I’m especially interested in how AI can quietly power better experiences behind the scenes - helping technology feel more natural, not more complicated.

   As Director of Sponsorship, I manage HackRPI\'s planning, outreach, and relationship-management efforts that secure financial and material sponsorships for the organization. I lead the team in identifying potential sponsors, preparing pitch materials, communicating with sponsors, and maintaining sponsor records. I\'m also responsible for ensuring sponsor deliverables are fulfilled, and upholding positive, long-term relationships. Additionally, I assist with HackRPI event logistics related to sponsor involvement and collaborate with other teams (marketing, finance, logistics) to maximize sponsor value and visibility.
