I love a good puzzle, especially when the routine tricks don’t work and when it keeps my brain churning. That’s probably why I love data science. There is something immensely pleasurable about uncovering the secrets hidden in data, layer by layer until you reach the centre of it all.Currently, I am a Data scientist at Monsoon CreditTech. Here, I primarily focus on building and deploying Machine learning solutions for banks and NBFCs. Within a year of joining Monsoon as a fresh hire, I have built and deployed ML-based application scorecards for multiple clients using Bureau, SMS and loan request form data. I have also been able to contribute significantly to maintaining existing API deployment by effecting necessary changes as per client requirements and providing necessary optimizations. Before starting my career as a Data Scientist, I studied Physics at UM-DAE CEBS, Mumbai. My undergraduate days were critical in shaping me as a person. I picked up advanced mathematics, statistics and programming along with physics. But above all else, the time there taught me how to be a learner. I continue to use these skills to improve myself as a problem solver. I am always looking out to meet fellow professionals and share learnings from the field as well as a few laughs over coffee.
