Experience
College & Career Technician
Nov 2023 — Present · South San Francisco, CA, US
As the College & Career Technician at El Camino High School, I revitalized the College & Career Center into a student-centered hub serving over 1,100 students and staff. I launched “Spring Into Summer: A College and Career Event” in 2024, now entering its third year in Spring 2026. This fair-style initiative connects students with local colleges, summer programs, internships, trade pathways, military reps, and job opportunities. I’ve expanded access to real-world experiences through field trips, career panels, and community visits—helping students explore postsecondary options with confidence and clarity.I provide individualized and group advising on admissions, financial aid (FAFSA/CADAA), job readiness, and career exploration, emphasizing self-advocacy and long-term planning. A cornerstone of my work is building strong partnerships—especially with Skyline College, where I previously served as a student employee and Associated Students senator. That lived experience allows me to guide students with authenticity and insight, connecting them to programs and mentors that feel accessible and empowering. I also collaborate with our counseling department to support a data-driven, ASCA-aligned approach to equitable college and career readiness.
