As the Innovation Cluster Development program manager for the ICAP development program, we will be identifying and supporting the organization and development of promising innovation clusters in Washington.Washington state is leading the way in building the first statewide innovation cluster* development program in the country. This program\'s focus is to strengthen industry ecosystems, accelerate industry growth and build equitable and sustainable economic prosperity.Innovation cluster programs worldwide served as a blueprint for Washington’s accelerator strategy, including Canada’s Superclusters Initiative and the Norwegian Innovation Clusters.*An innovation cluster is an industry-led consortium that works together to drive innovation, pursue market opportunities, and identify and solve challenges that limit growth.
