ABOUT ESTHER ALCARAZ
Attorney Esther Alcaraz has been practicing law since 2011 throughout the State of Florida. Esther was born and raised in Miami and is fluent in Spanish. After attending the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, Esther decided to pursue her Juris Doctor at the St. Thomas University School of Law. While attending STU, Esther was the Vice President of Membership for the Trial Team and interned at the Miami Dade State Attorney’s Office and the Department of Homeland Security. Esther received Book Awards in Torts and Contract and maintained a strong academic record that resulted in graduating magna cum laude. After law school, Esther began her career at the Miami Dade State Attorney’s Office and handled misdemeanor and DUI cases. Thereafter, Esther began the transition to private practice where for the past nine years she has primarily handled Criminal Defense. Esther also has experience handling Domestic Violence injunctions, landlord/tenant disputes and civil litigation as well. Esther gained admission to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 2012. In addition to maintaining her legal practice, Esther has been sharing her experiences and expertise with the young legal minds of Miami Dade College where she is an Adjunct Professor with the School of Justice since 2014. Esther has been selected as a Florida Rising Star by Super Lawyers for 2019, 2020 and 2021.
