About Estevan Santana
I am a Microbiologist who left the lab to pursue a career in public policy. I got bit by the policy bug during my first fellowship experience working in the California State Legislature where I was exposed to fast-paced, high stakes work analyzing pharmaceutical, health care, and education policy (among other areas). Since my time in Sacramento, I have worked on federal research policy at the NIH and later transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry working on both pre- and post-market policy issues.
