I am a driven and focused engineer with an in-depth knowledge of the risks and hazards associated with the process industry and the studies and techniques currently used to identify, prevent and mitigate them. As a process safety expert I have led a wide variety of studies for major companies like Saudi Aramco, Wood Group, Defra, IOG, KNPC, Boehringer Ingelheim, Foster Wheeler, Técnicas Reunidas, Repsol, Saipem, Hanwha, Sinopec, among others.My main areas of expertise include- Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) techniques: HAZOP, HAZID, What-if, etc- Functional Safety: SIL allocation, determination, verification, etc- Functional Safety Management Systems- Quantitative Risk Assessment- Modeling of major accidents.During my Ph.D. studies I developed innovative ideas related to the optimization of processes through the use of risk analysis. I have presented works in international meetings, like the “GCPS-2012”, “GCPS-2013”, the “MKOPSC 14th Symposium” or the “12th Mediterranean Congress of Chemical Engineering”, and published manuscripts on relevant journals like “Safety Science” or “Process Safety and Environmental Protection”.
