ABOUT SUDDHASIL BOSE
My knowledge of geoinformatics encompasses a wide range of applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in addressing various environmental issues. Moreover, I possess extensive knowledge of geography, specializing in regional planning, urban concerns and addressing socio economic issues which enables me to approach research from a holistic and comprehensive perspective. During my doctoral research, I focused on the impact of urbanization on groundwater resources, conducting a detailed investigation that explored the influence of various urban factors on these valuable resources. Additionally, I have hands-on experience in applying remote sensing techniques and using different remote sensing indices to analyse environmental data effectively. My ability to manage large datasets and proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python equip me to handle complex data analysis with ease. Furthermore, I possess significant expertise in advanced data visualization techniques, which allows me to present research findings in a compelling and accessible manner. In addition to my technical skills, I am confident in my managerial abilities and can handle projects efficiently. I am well-versed in document preparation software and excel at creating visually appealing and impactful presentations. Additionally, I am proficient in applying advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms, enhancing the depth and scope of my research projects. One of my primary research interests revolves around urban issues related to climate change, as I believe addressing these challenges is crucial for sustainable urban development. My dedication to this field is reflected in my published papers on urban water resources, covering topics such as groundwater and surface water management, as well as my expertise in assessing urban flood issues. Furthermore, I have applied multi-criteria decision-making techniques in my studies to identify potential zones for rainwater harvesting and suitable zones for specific crops.
