ABOUT ESSAM ELSISY

Expert in the field of operations, logistics, and other admin tasks. Graduated from Ain Shams University with Major in Accounting, I took so many courses in the finance, managerial skills, and project management. I expanded my certification with the Master of Business Administration from ESLSCA with Major in Strategic Planning. I started my career as an accountant but soon my superior knew I have more capabilities and capacities than an ordinary accountant. While working as credit analyst in one of the Egyptian banks, I converted the financial analysis process from manual to spreadsheet using Lotus 123 under DOS. That was done in 1992 on an old IBM PC using floppy discs. that was fun but created a negative impact on my collogues and my manager as it threaten their career, they used to do it in several hours using old calculators while now it\'s done in minutes. Moved from the banking career to the manufacturing industry, I joined Chloride, the battery manufacturer, as a junior accountant. The British General Manager saw something in me and moved me to a Management Accountant in less than 3 months. I found myself responsible for the weekly sales report, monthly reports, budget preparation, and managerial reports. I managed to convert all the budget spreadsheet under lotus 123 into excel 4 with links and saved a lot of hours worked. My finance director got a position with McDonalds Egypt and shortly after I was hired to setup the chart of accounts and prepare the sales reports for the stores, it was one of the exciting experiences of my life to be one of the team who observed the grand opening of McDonald\'s in Egypt. Moving along the employment ladder, I joined Cargill, one of the largest commodity companies in the world, as a senior accountant but history keeps repeating itself. The American General Manager saw something in me, he felt my capabilities are more than an Accountant. He assigned me a Project Coordination role for the Information Technology, Record Management, Information Protection. I managed to coordinate so many projects in Egypt and the Middle East until I finally decided to Migrate to Canada and start a new Chapter. As soon as I landed, I decided to study accounting and practice my old background however the first place I joined was a part-time accounts payable. The owner saw the same thing and started giving me more tasks in Logistics and Operations. in less than 5 years, I became one of the key persons of the company with hands on all operations of the company.
