ABOUT ANA ESPINOSA
I dream about a world with products, services and societies that are created with sustainability-by design in a holistic, comprehensive way that create system-wide and positive change. My vision is based in building and implementing strategies that help mainstream sustainability-by-design and continue to find and create opportunities for cost savings, memorable consumer experiences, stories and disruptive sustainability-centered, circular, and regenerative business models. I believe and practice leadership that revolves around collaboration, conscious design, and generation of purpose driven value. I am experienced in launching and implementing sustainability metric tools in supply chain, warehousing, corporate sustainability and packaging. Over the course of my career I have implemented this vision in consumer goods packaging industry, recycling industry and supply chain, where I have successfully led, collaborated, supported and implemented dozens of projects for recyclability, reusability, circularity, carbon accounting, triple bottom line strategy, green marketing, lifecycle and materiality assessments. Currently I continue to expand my work, knowledge and leadership by bringing engineering, design thinking, creative work, arts and behavioral science to the design of packages, services, products, projects and/or marketing and art campaigns. In my current role, I help move forward the Estee Lauder Companies (ELC) Packaging Sustainability goals via strategic work, sustainability education, partnerships, and innovation projects with all brands inside of the ELC portfolio. I enable interactions and outcomes between key internal functions, external stakeholders like retailers, suppliers, and sustainability organizations, helping define the future of packaging sustainability in the cosmetics industry.
