ABOUT ESMIRNA ARTEAGA
I am a highly accomplished and results-oriented Registered Architect and Senior Design Manager with over 13 years of progressive experience in design and construction of critical facilities, including 8 years of Data Center experience. Currently at Yondr Group, I drive the design of critical hyperscale data center campuses across the Americas for the world’s largest tech companies, ensuring best practices, vendor alignment, and seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders. My responsibilities include managing all phases of data center projects, from initial site due diligence and master planning to design development, construction oversight, implementation of global standards to mitigate project risks, and ensuring adherence to rigorous quality, budget, and schedule requirements. Prior to Yondr, my 9+ years at Gensler in the Critical Facilities Practice Area involved co-leading high-profile data center campus projects, ensuring code compliance, integrating sustainable design, and delivering high-quality documentation within budget and schedule. My experience also encompasses studio operations, where I focused on team leadership, talent development, and fostering a collaborative environment. Early in my career at Hunter Buildings & Manufacturing, I spearheaded the development of innovative solutions like a mobile budgetary pricing application and a configure-to-order building program, demonstrating my ability to drive efficiency and solve complex challenges. My background includes a diverse portfolio of projects, delivering successful design, cost management, and construction of modular blast-resistant buildings for the petrochemical industry. This experience, along with my meticulous design skills, ensures that I consistently exceed client expectations across various sectors. Industry Involvement and Mentorship I am deeply passionate about fostering a more inclusive and diverse critical facilities industry. As a Board Member and Vice President of WiMCO (Women in Mission Critical Operations) for the 7x24 Exchange Texas South Chapter, I am actively involved in initiatives that support and mentor women in this field. I am committed to promoting opportunities, driving engagement, and contributing to the growth of women in mission-critical leadership roles.
