About Esmeralda Bisono
Dedicated to climate, racial, and economic justice. Proud former Sustainability Manager for the City of Salem where we developed the first Sustainability & Resiliency Department, a joint Climate Action & Resilience plan with Beverly, and began the neighborhood climate action plan in Salem’s largest EJ community, El Punto. I’m now working with Emerald Cities Collaborative, a national nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of BIPOC and low-income communities most affected by the climate crisis, leading our work in community engagement and policy in the Northeast Region of the U.S. My background and experience includes project management and planning, grant writing, research, policy advocacy, and developing community engagement strategies.
