ABOUT ESLIN USTUN

I am a dedicated academic and researcher with a unique interdisciplinary background, combining a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master’s in Bioengineering. My work bridges the gap between engineering, biology, and computer science, focusing on innovative solutions to complex challenges. As a researcher, I specialize in neuroscience, particularly in optimizing light interactions in nanoscale systems in optogenetics. Currently, I am a Partial Load Professor at St. Lawrence College in the Computer Programming program. My teaching philosophy emphasizes practical applications, fostering collaboration, and preparing students for real-world challenges. With extensive experience as a teaching assistant across biology, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer engineering, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective to both education and research. Passionate about merging innovation, education, and technology, I aim to inspire and empower the next generation of engineers.
