Managing & leading a 40-member facilities team consisting of management and multi-skilled unionized team members.• Managing & maintaining GO Transit’s RFF infrastructure and properties (e.g. maintenance facilities, railway yards, layover yards, warehousing) and all other structures (e.g. rail services offices, crew centres, and other operational facilities) in compliance with health and safety, environmental, and civil legislation, and GO Transit procedures and regulations.• Planning & managing the RFF Capital Growth and Rehabilitation Programs for existing and new rail yard maintenance infrastructure, including those identified in the 10 year Capital Plan; monitoring Rail Services support to meet timely service growth/design and related functions.• Developing & managing a strategic preventative and remedial maintenance plan for fixed assets, layover yards, facilities equipment, and systems.• Developing facility maintenance, rehabilitation and/or expansion contractual agreements for Willowbrook facility and others identified in the annual Operating and Capital Budget programs.• Maintaining ongoing flow of accurate and timely data, drawings, and project input/resource information (e.g. problem resolution, policy and procedure development) for identified continuous improvement opportunities.• Planning & developing ongoing emergency and preventive maintenance programs and contingency plans.• Leading compliance assurance of all health, safety and environmental monitoring and protection systems and equipment in accordance with corporate policy and legislative requirements (e.g. Occupational Health & Safety Act; Environmental Protection Act; Weeds and Pesticides Act; Building, Fire and Electrical Safety Codes; and elevating device licenses).• Responding to and investigating GO Transit rail facilities emergencies (e.g. spills, derailments, fire, bomb threats, derailments) and reports pertinent facts, while adhering to related procedures and reporting protocols.
