ABOUT ELLIE SANTONATO
I am a Higher-Ed Career Coach with 3+ years of experience supporting undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni, across all DePaul colleges. I specialize in guiding students in the College of Education and the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences to explore internship and career opportunities, fostering a sense of possibility. I deepen my expertise in talent development and organizational learning to help individuals build the tools and strategies they need to succeed in today\'s job market. Teaching students and alumni the importance of owning their career development has brought me much fulfillment within my career. I provide transparent, honest feedback on the skills and experiences needed to be career-ready by graduation and beyond. My leadership style, rooted in servant leadership, fosters collaboration and shows my dedication to understanding and supporting each individual\'s needs. My superpower is innovating problem-solving. I am working to develop new ways for the DePaul Career Center to increase the number of students served through comprehensive Q&A classroom visits and small-group coaching. For instance, I have introduced initiatives such as transferable skill development conversations for early career development, which allow students to practice professional community building (networking) in safe, classroom spaces, demonstrating my commitment to creating accessible, practical solutions that enhance student engagement and career readiness.
