About Elizabeth Ruedas

Elizabeth Ruedas, P.E, QSD, CSI, QISP, ENV SP, LEED GA, certified through the AWWA Utility Risk and Resilience Certificate Program, works closely with municipalities under the regulation of the California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This experience has exposed her to the inner-workings of a municipal program, both in how to develop program elements and how to effectively design, implement, manage, and maintain them. Her experience has covered a wide range of program elements with special focus on inspections, Best Management Practices (BMPs), and asset management. Along with the municipal stormwater program experience, Ms. Ruedas brings exposure to sewer and water management, as well as other transportation improvements.National recognition for her achievements within the civil engineering profession include being name one of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) New Faces of Civil Engineering and a ASCE William H. Wisely American Civil Engineer Award recipient. Currently, Elizabeth is an ASCE At-Large Director, an ASCE Orange County Past President, and serves on the ASCE Public Policy Committee.Elizabeth is passionate about helping the civil engineering profession move towards becoming masters of the built environment by inspiring, empowering, and equipping emerging leaders with the necessary knowledge and skills to begin shaping public policy. Elizabeth’s YouTube channel has over subscribers, which also serves as a platform for her to educate and inspire others, especially young girls who may otherwise not be exposed to STEM fields.
