Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge Project (South Capitol Street Project) Nov. 2017 - Present Manage the design and construction development for the largest public infrastructure project in DDOT’s history. Working alongside the Program Manager, DDOT’s Chief Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer, I ensure the effective and efficient delivery of key project milestones. Utilize negotiation, communication, and leadership skills to spearhead solutions to complex project obstacles between cross-functional teams within DDOT, federal agencies, local government agencies, and special interest organizations. Black Lives Matter Plaza - June 2021 - Dec. 2021 Led the permanent installation of the Mayor-declared Black Lives Matter Plaza. Worked with key stakeholders along the corridor to mitigate project-related issues impacting business, media, security, and political operations. Hosted bi-weekly update meetings with Director of DDOT to ensure all senior-level leadership remained informed on the status of project milestones.DC Streetcar Carbarn Training Center 2 (CBTC2), Project Engineer Nov. 2013 – Nov. 2017 Worked collaboratively to oversee the construction of the DC Streetcar Carbarn Training Center (CBTC2) and all ancillary rail facilities, valued at $110 million. Served as key point-of-contact during design phase, offering oversight of team and providing updates and recommendations to senior level staff. Instrumental in creating the first DC Streetcar Design Criteria Manual and Utility Rules of Practice.
