Support the regional global trade teams, analyze changes in upcoming trade regulations and propose changes to automated trade systems, identify risks, recommend actions, provide solutions, and support system users.• Utilize a variety of enterprise applications (SAP, GTS, SFDC, Ariba) and data analysis tools (Hana, Tableau, Excel) to identify cross-functional process issues, recommend innovative solutions, and drive business process change.• Represent the Global Trade team in a variety of business transformation initiatives, ensuring that solutions are implemented with the appropriate level of trade consideration.• Work with Illumina’s external customs brokers to develop solutions that ensure reporting accuracy of export and import filing including, EDI integration, automated data extraction/reporting from broker data bases, integration of data to Hana/Tableau and development of automated reporting/auditing of customs entries filed by brokers on behalf of Illumina.• Lead root cause analysis supporting resolution of compliance issues and take corrective action where necessary.• Using internal sales and stock transfer forecasts, build and maintain the Global Trade duty and broker spend forecast. • Generate reports from various sources to determine duty, broker and export filing spending trends and identify potential savings opportunities.• Develop, publish and maintain a dashboard to measure and track KPI relating to free trade agreement, duty spend, cost savings as well as all other regional trade compliance productivity initiatives.
