About Ernie Dettbarn
I am the Owner and Principal Broker of Dettbarn Real Estate. I obtained my Virginia Real Estate Salesperson license 21 years ago and I earned my Virginia Real Estate Broker’s License in 2015.Before embarking on a career in real estate, I worked in New York for the advertising firm McCann-Erickson. I left Manhattan in 2001 to move to Northern California, where I worked for a vintage race car specialist based at Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma County. I am a graduate of Collegiate School and the University of Virginia, where I earned a BA in History. During my college years, I was a member of St. Anthony Hall and worked for G&W Motorsports, a Porsche racing team based at that time in Waynesboro, Virginia.My wife, Sarah, and I live with our two children in Henrico’s West End. A native of Ashland, Virginia, Sarah is a Registered Nurse on the Coronary Care ICU at VCU Medical Center. When we’re not working, we enjoy spending time with our children and family.
