   Selected for the prestigious BMS Science Scholars Program, leading a project to optimize ICU readmission prediction using demographic-specific BERT models (Black, Hispanic, White) trained on 19K+ abstracts from 23K+ clinical trials. Engineered a robust pipeline for data extraction, preprocessing, and embedding generation using ClinicalTrials.gov, PubMed, and MIMIC-IV data, addressing underrepresentation in clinical datasets through equitable model design. Developed balanced training datasets using augmentation and oversampling, and built predictive models (LightGBM, MLP) with embeddings from fine-tuned LLMs, achieving up to 94% accuracy and 78% F1-score. Presented findings to 45+ BMS executives and faculty, contributing scalable, AI-driven strategies that align with BMS’s mission to improve healthcare outcomes for underserved populations.
