ABOUT ERIC JOHNSTONE
I have been fortunate in my career to work for dynamic and entrepreneurial organizations. I have been a key member of leadership teams who each were disrupting their industries through planned and strategic innovation. Notably, my role has been to find financially prudent and risk informed paths to executing strategies and to create stability without restricting creativity needed to drive change.Post-secondary education is one of the most powerful tools we have to advance humankind. It is an imperative to solving our world’s biggest challenges – climate change, equity, diversity, and inclusion – in order to unlock the vast opportunities of the future. While I believe all post-secondary institutions have a part to play, Conestoga College’s leading position in applied learning and research is particularly exciting. It is the job of our colleges to feed future thinkers and leaders and notably to connect those with influence in our community to those without influence.From a more technical perspective, I am an CPA, CA with deep operations and governance experience, internal and external reporting, having managed teams of professionals through growth and change while integrating diverse corporate cultures. I am proud of my ability to build authentic relationships.
