As a JD/MBA, I view legal and business issues through a wide lens, gaining perspective that leads to more complete solutions. I provide practical legal solutions to senior executives and boards of global publicly held companies in the areas of corporate governance, shareholder activism, corporate finance, executive compensation, and sustainability. Over the course of my career, I have developed significant experience and subject matter expertise at the intersection of law, business and governance.I lead formal and informal teams on complex business and legal projects. My experience leading international teams both as internal counsel and as adjunct professor of management at the Owen Graduate School of Management enables me to help global businesses navigate complex strategic issues to achieve successful outcomes. I gained valuable experience working with the international law firm Pillsbury Winthrop in New York City and at Pierce Atwood in Portland, Maine before establishing my practice as an internal business lawyer. The range and versatility of my areas of legal expertise are uncommon, and involve some of the most sensitive areas of business operations. Across practice disciplines ranging from corporate, securities, tax, treasury, ERISA and executive compensation, I focus on solving problems effectively and ethically.
