About Erin Dowell
I help shape the systems that build families and I’ve lived inside those systems as a mother, including when they failed.Since earning my law degree, my career path has led me to experiences that include leading one of the largest employer-sponsored reproductive health programs in the country, spanning fertility, maternity, pregnancy loss, surrogacy, and menopause support. My work sits at the intersection of health policy, employment law, and the deeply personal decisions people make about their bodies and families.In 2021, I lost my daughter Lillian to stillbirth at 37 weeks. That experience changed how I think about the systems I help design — who they serve, who they miss, and what it costs when they fail. I founded the Lillian Dowell Fund in her memory.I write about reproductive health policy, employer benefits strategy, and the lived experience of building a family.
