I recently transitioned into a new role and career path at Merck as a Planner and Scheduler for live virus vaccines. This great career developmentental move comes after several years as an Operations Manager. As mentioned, I am with Merck, a global leader in life science and biotechnology, and I also have over 25 years of experience in operations, supply chain, retail, and franchise business ownership. I hold a Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification and a Master of Science in Biomedicine and Law from Drexel University, among other credentials.My mission is to help Merck stay on course with operations by planning, scheduling, and guiding employees to achieve their fullest potential. I manage a dotted line team of up to 40 skilled laborers across three shifts, while also assisting and supporting the respective shift managers. I ensure that pharmaceutical GMP rules, SOPs, and regulations are reviewed, implemented, and precisely followed, working directly with the team, QA, and QC.I have a track record of enhancing department-wide productivity and maintaining a highly-engaged culture of continuous improvement. Continuous planning, scheduling and SCM communication between end-to-end departments to ensure all aspects of the production from start to finish are completed on time and in full.
