About Erin Miller
I am a learning experience designer and strategist who works at the intersection of people development, organizational performance, and systems thinking. My approach starts before the course outline: with the business problem, the learner reality, and the gap between them. That gap only becomes visible when you truly understand your audience, not just who they are on paper, but how they think, what they need, and what stands between them and performance. The solution follows the diagnosis, not the other way around. Over 12+ years, I have built and led learning systems across higher education, nonprofit, and business environments. I have designed programs from the ground up, coached teams from activity execution to outcomes-driven design, secured executive buy-in for curriculum transformations, and piloted eLearning courses with structured feedback loops that changed organizational strategy. My work consistently lives at the point where learning design and business performance meet, and that is exactly where I want to keep working. I transitioned from higher education into LXD because I was ready to apply these skills to new types of problems and bigger organizational contexts. Higher ed sharpened my ability to lead through ambiguity, design for diverse learner populations, and connect program decisions to institutional priorities. I brought those capabilities with me and added formal LXD and eLearning technical skills through my CPTD certification program. The result is a practitioner who thinks strategically, designs intentionally, and delivers with the people in mind.If you are building a learning function that needs to do more than produce courses, I would love to connect.
