ABOUT ERIN MARCINIAK

Special Agent Marciniak is renowned for her unwavering passion and dedication to her work. Praised by Executive Management across multiple FBI divisions as one of the most driven and committed investigators, she consistently achieves success regardless of the assignment.Current: Since late 2015, Marciniak has been at the forefront of investigating White Collar crime, with a particular focus on Health Care Fraud matters. She quickly unraveled a complex multi-million dollar fraud scheme, collaborating with private corporations such as Medical Mutual, BCBSM, and Stellantis, along with state and federal agencies. Her efforts led to the successful seizure and forfeiture of millions of dollars in assets, including cars, gold, and silver, with funds refunded to private insurance programs. Marciniak has since led intricate investigations that resulted in significant forfeitures, indictments, pleas, and guilty verdicts in the Northern District of Ohio. Her leadership is evident through her organizational and communication skills. Simultaneously, she pursued and earned a master\'s degree in Health Informatics from Northwestern University, enhancing her expertise and understanding of healthcare fraud.Past: Marciniak\'s legal prowess is fortified by her Juris Doctorate and licensure to practice law in Illinois. She began her professional journey as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Cook County, Illinois, where she prosecuted both civil and criminal matters. Within four years, she joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation. At the Washington Field Office in Washington D.C, she spent approximately eight years investigating International Terrorism. As the sole female agent on a Joint Terrorism Task Force, Marciniak showcased her exceptional communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills, working alongside agents from various federal agencies. Her investigations demanded international travel to the Middle East, including a temporary assignment to Kabul, Afghanistan in 2009, where she honed her skills in investigating acts of terrorism, international kidnapping, and drug conspiracies.
