With 10+ years of industry experience designing jewelry and a BFA and MFA in Jewelry Design + Metalsmithing, I have the unique ability to understand the full spectrum of the creation process; from the manufacturer\'s side as well as from the creative\'s side. Having the foresight to predict issues prior to sampling is a part of my design process and one of my strengths. I am excited and confident about creative problem solving and design functionality. Illustrating and rendering jewelry designs by hand is a one of my strongest passions and greatest strengths. Harmonizing colors/materials, merchandising of products, and trend forecasting come as intuitive abilities.Well versed in the complete design process: Taking an abstract design concept and developing it into a cohesive and functional idea, rendering the design, transforming it into a technical drawing or PR illustration, and creating spec sheets/ tech packs for factory execution.Highly experienced with local factories and suppliers in the Los Angeles area, previously spending weekly one-on-one time with factory owners, production coordinators, and bench jewelers reviewing specs, waxes, samples, and all processes leading up to the approval of the finished jewelry piece or production run.Specialties include, but are not limited to: excellent hand rendering abilities, intermediate wax carving/ prototype developing, metalsmithing and stone setting, extreme organizational skills, an obsession with research and analysis, Photoshop for beauty work on models and jewelry, thriving in team environments, an intermediate knowledge of Spanish, and a dry sense of humor.Design experience includes fine jewelry design, custom jewelry/ commission work, mass market jewelry design, home and tabletop objects, functional objects such as lighting and furniture, and some soft accessory design.Note: Unfortunately I do not have CAD rendering skills, but I fully believe in my diverse hand rendering abilities.
