As the Executive Director of Solidarity Engineering, I lead a dedicated team in delivering life-saving infrastructure, essential supplies, and education to displaced and vulnerable communities. I oversee the planning, design, construction, and operation & maintenance (O&M) of critical infrastructure projects in refugee camps, shelters, and emergency response settings.Our work focuses on: WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene): Providing clean drinking water, hygiene supplies, bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. Infrastructure: Constructing shelters, stormwater management systems, flood mitigation projects, schools, soccer fields, community kitchens, and shaded gathering spaces. STEM & Play: Teaching STEM classes, designing and building playgrounds and parks to support childhood development and resilience.I manage fundraising, donor relations, and organizational strategy, ensuring Solidarity Engineering has the resources to sustain and scale our impact. Additionally, I oversee all staff, partnerships, and humanitarian engineering consulting initiatives.Our projects serve asylum seekers and migrants at the US-Mexico border, communities affected by crises, and partners requiring engineering expertise for humanitarian interventions.
