Journalist, editor and organizer with more than a decade of experience in daily newsrooms. I believe the media industry can only evolve through genuine community engagement and dignified working conditions for journalists so we can best serve the people and places we love.Part of the 2018 Pulitzer Prize-winning staff at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, which honored our responsive, empathetic coverage of the antisemitic attack on worshipers at the Tree of Life synagogue. Experience also includes graduate-level education in social work and trauma theory, as well extensive direct service work with vulnerable populations across the Pittsburgh region.
