About Erin McKenzie

I use data and creativity to help people fall in love with brands. The roles I have held during my career have taught me that: 1) Storytelling is a true passion of mine. It’s how I started my career—as news editor of my college paper and later as a career journalist following the facts and the police scanner to uncover stories in cities and courtrooms. In the roles that followed, storytelling has been a powerful skill that I weave into how I work. 2) I thrive on variety. 3) I’m always on a quest to learn more and innovate professionally. I always look at the marketing data and test, test, and test again. 4) I never assume—questions are important. In my free time you can usually find me outdoors hiking, kayaking, and chasing kids at the beach. Inside, I love to be in the kitchen where I am always figuring out what to do with all the goodies from the garden and, as my kids like to say, “freelancing” because I’m not one to follow a recipe completely as written.
