About Erin Barnaby

Erin joined the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights team in July 2022, bringing over a decade of experience in communications. Her work is fueled by her interest in using narrative strategy and storytelling to advocate and fundraise for nonprofit and social justice initiatives.Before her role at Amica Center, Erin served as the Communications Officer at Spectrum Youth & Family Services, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting young people facing homelessness, substance use challenges, and the complexities of refugee resettlement. Prior to that, she worked at Resonance, a global development consulting firm, where she developed and implemented communications strategies for public sector clients such as USAID, DFAT, and the State Department.Erin\'s multifarious background includes teaching journalism and digital arts at Saint Michael’s College, managing communications and digital strategy at Shelburne Museum, and creating interactive exhibitions at the ECHO Lake & Aquarium Center. Additionally, she has trained artists in laser cutting and graphic design at Generator Makerspace.Erin holds an MFA in Emergent Media from Champlain College, a BFA in Visual Communications from Endicott College, and an AA in Child Psychology from the Community College of Vermont.
