About Erin Appel
I am currently the Psychotherapy Lead at Lynlake Centers for WellBeing. I serve as a resource to psychotherapists at the agency and facilitate the clinical supervision program. I work with the leadership team to refine policy and procedure. I also provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed counselors and individual therapy to all genders age 18 and up. In the past, I have facilitated DBT groups and provided DBT individual therapy.Special interests in the field include: ACT, DBT, ERP, CPT, meditation, and Buddhist psychology. My theoretical orientation is existential humanist in view, but practical in methods, leaning towards cognitive behavioral techniques.I am trained as an educator and love to give presentations on clinical topics such as DBT skills, mindfulness, and clinical writing.
